The Crab Virtual Machine (a.k.a. CVM) is an upcoming project for the Crabby programming language.
It serves as the core runtime environment designed to execute Crabby programs through bytecode instead of direct interpretation.

CVM’s main goal is to provide a lightweight, efficient, and portable execution model for Crabby, ensuring that code runs consistently across different platforms.
It translates high-level Crabby code into compact bytecode instructions, which are then executed by the virtual machine’s instruction engine.

By introducing CVM, Crabby will gain better performance, memory management, and potential for JIT compilation in the future.
This approach also makes it easier to integrate debugging tools and optimize runtime behavior without changing the language syntax.

The project is still in early planning and development stages, but it marks a significant step toward making Crabby a fast, reliable, and modern dynamic language.
